Painter (Temporary) East Bay
This position performs the work of a journey level painter. Expectations require knowledge and methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the painting trade including: painting, finishing, drywall, surface preparation, road and parking striping, mold mitigation and a thorough knowledge of applicable state codes and regulations including safety orders, completion of work assignments and completion of daily time cards. This is a full-time, temporary position through June 30, 2025 with the possibility of reappointment.
Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership East Bay
The Department of Educational Leadership seeks a full-time tenure-track position to serve as an assistant professor to teach courses in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential programs. The faculty member in this position will teach and develop courses in the Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential programs. Candidates should have a solid grounding in applying critical pedagogies, such as culturally sustaining, humanizing, abolitionist, decolonial, or critical race pedagogies into their teaching praxis. Teaching experience for a successful candidate includes assessment design, lesson design, and course design. We seek candidates whose pedagogy and scholarship reflects extensive expertise/experience collaboratively leading PK-16 institutional transformation and working with diverse student populations, historically minoritized and/or marginalized communities, and educational institutions serving those students/communities.
Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement East Bay
Reporting to the Vice President of University Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Engagement develops and implements programs and services that engage, improve communication and create a basis for a culture of philanthropy. This role is charged with increasing annual giving and strengthening alumni ties to the University. By improving existing programs, the Director will grow the annual fund, apply best practices and further engage the alumni community, faculty, staff, students and University leadership in advancing the mission of the University. The Director is further charged with growing, soliciting, and stewarding segments of the broader donor pool. This position is for an energetic, creative professional eager to bring the fundraising program to a higher level. The Director also works closely with the Advancement communications staff, providing the Director of Advancement with support in the creation and implementation of alumni communications, including digital and social media. The Director will serve as staff liaison for the Cal State East Bay Alumni Association and the Board.

Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic East Bay
The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic is distinguished from other classifications in the series by responsibility for the full range of service, maintenance and repair on more complex refrigeration and associated HVAC systems and equipment. The work of an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic requires a comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate must be thoroughly familiar with all safety codes and regulations related to the installation and operation of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Positions in this classification require certification from the Environmental Protection Agency in the use and disposal of compressed refrigerants.
Assistant Professor of Computer Science East Bay
The Department of Computer Science offers a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer Science. Currently, there are more than 750 undergraduate majors and over 200 students in the M.S. program. Teaching courses at B.S. and M.S. levels, curriculum development at both levels, and sustaining a research program. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. In addition to teaching, all faculty have advising responsibilities, assist the department with administrative and/or committee work, and are expected to assume campus-wide committee responsibilities.

This position is for a tenure track position for an assistant professor in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management starting in Fall of 2025. The School of Engineering is within the College of Science. It enjoys widespread support among local industry, including an Advisory Board with representation from major local firms.
Accounting Technician II East Bay
This position is under the supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager and is primarily in the Accounts Payable unit.  However, duties may also include support within other areas within Fiscal Services. The Accounting Tech II position is responsible for processing invoices for all AP payments, along with auditing travel reimbursements in current system. This lead position helps with any campus community questions, in addition to supporting the Accounts Payable Manager as needed for things like the trial register review, handling other tasks when the manager is out.  The incumbent will handle various trainings as it applies to travel, and hospitality policies.  Duties will also include the maintenance of AP records.
Temporary Office Support Pool East Bay
This announcement establishes a one-year temporary, on-call Office Support Pool.  Assignments typically vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, and are generally between 20 and 40 hours per week.  Office Support employees perform a variety of office duties including a full range of receptionist duties, typing, data entry, budget, filing, copying, opening/sorting/distributing mail, faxing, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, etc.  Duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the hiring department. Under the general direction of the Director of Planning, Design, and Construction, the Project Lead is responsible for managing design and construction activities for minor and major capital outlay projects. Typical projects include new construction, renovation, capital renewal, deferred maintenance, and campus user requested projects. Grant Administration Specialist (Temporary) East Bay
The Grant Administration Specialist of the K-16 East Bay Collaborative is a temporary administrative position funded by a $4,000,000 grant from January 2024 to June 30, 2025, with no renewal. This state-funded grant is a collaboration between the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies (the Co-PI) and the following partners: San Francisco State, San Jose State, UC Berkeley, Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Chabot College, Las Positas College, Contra Costa Community College District, San Leandro USD, Oakland USD, and several faculty and administrators on the Cal State East Bay campus. This position will report to the Dean of the College of Education and Allied Studies. The two primary duties of this position are to engage in grant administration and business processing of the grant.
